Moreover, the H2O tails you’re referring to (I assume it’s this) can’t be brought into TS3 without breaking the creator’s TOU (I just checked on their page). Also, creators aren’t exactly delighted at having their meshes altered. Which, after months of working on them, I can say it’s a hell of a job. That means the only way possible of converting them would have to be by mash-up. Having said all of this, any mermaid tail mesh for TS4 would have to be done after the IL original tails. It’s been 4 years since IL released and just now we can have their mermaid tails in the game, but only by mashing them up, and misalignment is exactly the reason for that ( I’m snickering privately at the thought that EA tried to prevent this many conversions to TS3 by building those particular tails like this but it’s probably not true. So I had to come up with the solution of combining meshes from both games in order to bring the IL tails into TS3. Even so, since they basically needed to be cut one row of polys over that would’ve messed up the alignment with the TS3 body.
Like the tails would’ve needed to be broken down and rebuild for the TS3 bodies. I didn’t write it extensively in the download post - mainly because I needed to make sure other, more important, details will be communicated…and, sigh, I wrote a lot anyway- but when I said the original TS4 tails needed to be re-uvmapped I wasn’t kidding. Do not put them anywhere up for download and don’t add adfly to my links.
